Orange and yellow perennial lilies. Meet their basic requirements and they will put on a great show every year. Lesson learned: Less shaded lilies bloomed first. One lily bloomed later, having been uncovered just in time. Another lily in full shade showed weak growth, and did not bloom at all. I think that like lilies, we human beings can overcome obstacles and innovate. We also need to have the basic requirements for life met.
For me this Iris symbolises my sorrow for death of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and for all those brutalised by those in power at all levels, whether it be in within a family unit or government.
