Another jewel found
Yesterday, I found another dazzling green ‘brooch’ nestled in a beautiful flower of Rosa ‘Distant Drums’. My second Rose Chafer Beetle or Cetonia aurata of the year!
The rose blossom itself is fully open and even though it is beginning to fade, I think it’s still very lovely. ‘Distant Drums’ is a beloved rose. I adore it. I took cuttings last winter and only one of seven is showing some signs of taking root. Fingers tightly crossed! I’ll try again later this year.
