Hello.

My name is Lola. I feel privileged to be able to share my experiences of the things I love with you through my blog and quarterly features on Kinimori.

I am passionate about plants and horticulture, and exploring their links with human existence and creativity.

I hope this blog inspires you. Feel free to leave a comment or follow me on social media. Enjoy!

A little flowering cherry blossom love ...

A little flowering cherry blossom love ...

The coronavirus pandemic has hit many people all over the world in unexpected ways. Some countries have mercifully been spared the worst of it so far. I pray that continues. The rest of us need to sit tight and ride it out, limiting the risk of exposure to the virus wherever possible. I say a special prayer for those brave and valiant workers on the front line.

Nature keeps keeping on. Spring is cherry blossom time in many temperate countries, a beautiful time, even though there is pain and uncertainty around us. Cherry blossom festivals have been cancelled. Traditional Japanese Sakura and Hanami events that revolve around cherry blossom have been cancelled.

I’ve written a feature article on Kinimori Q about cherry blossoms that I’ve filled with pretty pictures and a video, all courtesy of nature. If you are staying in and need a little diversion, do have a little look. It certainly helped me to write it. Many pictures warmed my heart and made me smile. I hope they do the same for you too.
